Sleeping Essentials

Hey guys!

Today's post is about what I love to have to get a good night's sleep. As pictured above, I need my extremely adorable PJ's from Peter Alexander. They are so soft and comfortable, and the sausage dog print is so cute!

Secondly, I need an eye mask. I find this to be more of a comfort item than a practical one. I like to have the mask as not only does it block out the morning sun that sneaks under my blinds, but I also find that my mind and body recognises that it is sleep-time when I place it on. If I do not have my mask on, I find it far more difficult to still my mind and fall asleep.

Finally, I am in love with my silk pillow case. The cold, smooth feeling of placing my cheek on the pillow is so nice, but silk pillow cases also stops (or at least reduces the chances) of your air tangling in your sleep! For girls with curly and unruly hair, like myself, this is perfect! Now I don't have to battle my morning hair!

What essentials do you need to be able to go to bed? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time my lovelies,

Outfit of The Week

Skort- Glassons // Top- Supre// Necklace- My Mum's

There is nothing better than summer, with the long days spent in the sun and the fun and cheeky clothing you get to wear. Today was particularly hot, and so I decided to break out from my usual long hair-do to something a bit different. School is heating up (pun intended) again, and so my posts will drop from twice a week to just one. I have yet to decide how I will post, but I can assure you I will deliver with my posts!

Until next time my lovelies,

Seventeen

I recently turned 17, an age that has fascinated musicians for many years. In celebration of this 'Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman' phase of my life, I have compiled a playlist of my favourite songs mentioning being the age of 17.

Concert Experiences- The 1975

I was lucky enough to see The 1975 live, once again, in my home city of Brisbane. It was the last show of their Australian tour, and it was alive with energy and excitement.

Despite it being a hot 35 degrees Celsius throughout the day, we were all ready to go. Upon arriving in the tent, the temperature rose to an estimated 40 degrees Celsius, which left many people uncomfortable, including myself. In the face of these harsh conditions, the quartet performed their hearts out and gave the audience one hell of a show.

Matty Healy, the frontman and the charisma behind the band, was charming and down to earth, really connecting with the audience and ensuring that everyone had a good time. The set was seamless, moving from one song to the other without hitch, beginning with The City and ending with the two hits Chocolate and Sex. These boys know how to work a crowd and get everyone involved.

I particularly liked how Matty encouraged people to put away their phones and to actually be present in the moment, "as the music is the reason we are all here tonight". I definitely took his advice, however I couldn't resist snapping a few photos, the lighting behind the band was just too good to resist!

I just love this band, the unique style of music and engaging way they performed makes me come back for more. I am keen for their second album to be released and the future shows they will put on.

Until next time my lovelies,
